Born in Milan in 1978, Otto D’Ambra graduated in 2003 at the Brera academy of fine arts with a specialization in set design. In 1998 he started collaborating in various interior design practices allowing him to develop a distinguished creativity and an excellent knowledge of various materials.
In 2009 he moves to London where he develops his interest for etching. Three years later, he opened his own studio “The White Elephant”, a multifunctional space where he can converge his love for different art forms.
Blending multiple elements from the animal kingdom, his illustrations address the inseparable link between modern man and his primordial nature, highlighting the dangers of our incessant pursuit of ephemeral pleasures and deceptive concepts of wellbeing.
